MADAM, First, I’d like to say that I have no connection with Ross Rowing Club, and it is a coincidence that I write on the eve of the club’s annual regatta.
MADAM, today Ross mourns the loss of a good and trusted friend.
MADAM, the local NFU office is getting weekly reports of Chinese lanterns found littering farmland.
Madam, What a negative response to such a wonderful opportunity to put Ross-on-Wye on the map of places to visit, and make it a gateway to Herefordshire.
This is the first in an irregular column I have been asked to write for Gazette readers, commenting on issues of local importance, and trying to answer that much-asked question: what do MPs actually do?
It has been an extraordinary time to enter Parliament, with a new and untried coalition government trying to control a huge financial crisis.
Madam, I write in relation to the decision by Herefordshire Council to ban the Jamstand event because, allegedly, Jack Baldus has not applied for a licence.
MADAM, my father, Stanley Humber, passed away last August.
MADAM, the Larruperz Centre is 20 years old, and we are holding an anniversary celebration and reunion on Sunday August 29th.
MADAM, as two members of the Ross Carnival Committee, we felt we would like to congratulate the chairman, Mel Hodges, his committee, and all the helpers involved in the organisation of the event last Saturday.
MADAM, the Ross Carnival was great this year with so many extra floats, but one thing was missing: where was Ross Town Band?
I know it is holiday time, but it is for all of us, and we all make the effort.
MADAM, on behalf of the Ross-in-Bloom team, I am writing to thank you for helping prepare Ross for the annual summer visit of the Heart in Bloom Judges.
